ghettos
Ghettos were a holding pin for pri0soners before the were sent to concentration camps. The 5 major ghettos in Warsaw, Poland were Lodz, Krakow, Lublin, and Lvov. Through all of Europe the Nazis established over 356 ghettos. Large cities had ghettos with brick or stone walls surrounding the place. The ghettos were the largest of all the make ups throughout Europe. Food and medicine supplies were scares in many ghettos. Many ghettos did not have running water and electricity. The food rations normally did not support the inhabitants.
